Environmental Concern Collective

The Environmental Concern Collective brings together individuals dedicated to fighting the growing threats climate change poses to humanity. Climate change is not a recent phenomenon. Today, the world faces severe threats from rising sea levels, spiking temperatures, and increasingly violent storms.
These shifts have already dealt disastrous blows to human communities. Rising waters and more frequent, destructive storms are forcing coastal and island populations to migrate, tearing apart both their physical infrastructure and social fabric. This crisis extends far beyond the coasts; raging wildfires have completely leveled entire inland communities. This destruction is not limited to developing nations—it is happening in the United States and across Europe.
Because climate change poses a global threat, mitigating its effects requires global solutions. Our organization focuses on understanding exactly how climate change impacts communities and individuals worldwide.

The Environmental Concern Collective (ECC) researches and acts on the immediate threats climate change poses to human survival, operating globally. Our teams combine expertise in fields like engineering, climatology, and sociology to study climate change as a social and economic crisis, not just an environmental one. We gather field data on physical risks—such as rising sea levels, fires, and violent storms—alongside social factors like local governance, land ownership, and economic stability. By pairing environmental data with regional climate projections, we help local leaders decide whether to upgrade existing infrastructure or plan safe relocations. Every project results in a publication and a set of practical blueprints, which we hand back to the communities to protect their heritage and guide local policy. Finally, we design low-cost, climate-resilient housing layouts to ensure that displaced populations have safe, scalable places to live.
